چکیده

Eccentrically braced frames (EBFs) are typically employed in seismic design because they integrate the benefits of concentrically and moment-resisting frames, providing both high elastic stiffness ductility. However, effect fire on structural stability EBFs has not been well documented. Object-oriented techniques used software program development have become popular recent years, primarily their ability addressing various complexity issues. Software developed based an object-oriented approach is more robust than conventional software. Using abovementioned approach, additional codes can be incorporated, thereby simplifying testing, refining, maintenance, extension. Furthermore, for finite element analysis . This paper presents further OpenSees with inclusion other parameters: thermal parallel material, spring element, section, as beam hinges elements subjected to loading. In contrast routine creation fire-specific applications, these modifications improve existing finite-element codes, facilitating multi-hazard (e.g., post-earthquake fire). considered this study it open-source application suitable design. Seismic Yield Displacement Profile in Steel Eccentrically Braced Frames

Displacement-based methods are recognized as appropriate approaches to reach the goals of performance-based seismic design method. In the direct displacement-based seismic design method, the seismic yield displacement is applied as one of the important design parameters. In this paper, a new relation is suggested to determine the lateral displacement pattern at first yielding of eccentrically b...

assessment of the park- ang damage index for performance levels of rc moment resisting frames

Dual-Steel Eccentrically Braced Frames with Bolted Links – Simulation of Safe Removal Process

Current seismic design philosophy is based on dissipative structural response, which implicitly accepts damage to the main structure and significant economic losses. Repair of the structure is often impeded by the permanent (residual) drifts of the structure. The proposed research aims at reducing the repair costs and downtime of a structure hit by an earthquake, and consequently more rational ...

Study of Adding Cover—Plate Used For the Single Diagonal Eccentrically Braced Steel Frames

This paper suggested a new connection protocol, adding cover-plate between shear links and column, which was used to enhance moment and shear carrying capacity of beam, relax the restriction and assure the sufficiency development of plastic deformation of the link, and dissipate more earthquake energy. Considering the scale ratio of 1:3, the experimental data was achieved by a specimen under cy...

Evaluating Response Modification Factors of Concentrically Braced and Special Moment Steel Frames in Duplex Buildings

Response modification factor (R-factor) is one of the seismic design parameters to consider nonlinear performance of building structures during strong earthquake. Relying on this, many seismic design codes led to reduce earthquake loads imposed to the structure. The present paper tries to evaluate the R-factors of conventional concentric braced frames (CBFs) and special moment frames (MRFs) in ...
